Copper Canyon is a system of 4 canyons located in the (Sierra Tarahumara) southwest portion of the state of Chihuahua, Mexico.

You can Fly to Chihuahua also on Contintental Airlines they offer direct daily flights from Houston Tx (but be aware that they can loose your luggage and you will be without clothes for the rest of your trip)
Copper Canyon (Barrancas del Cobre) is located 350 kms from Chihuahua and 250 kms from Los Mochis, Sinaloa Mexico.
The only way to access this beautiful part of Mexico from Los Mochis is on a 8 hrs Train Ride ("El Chepe" Ferrocarriles Mexicanos) Service that was started on November 1961 year on which the track that was laid to establish the shortest rail link between Kansas City and the Pacific Ocean was finished, the complete train ride Chihuahua-Los Mochis is a masterpiece of civil engineering that go thru 88 tunnels and 39 bridges. From Chihuahua you can travel by Train (Recomended) or by car or bus.
From Los Mochis or Chihuahua, The Train El Chepe leave from either City at 6:00 AM daily.The Train Ride to Reach Barrancas is aproximatley 8 hrs and cost $70.00 (US Dls) per person each way
